The three main ways to make money online from CBD are to sell it yourself, provide affiliate links to someone else that sells it, in return for a small commission, or through Multi-Level Marketing.

What is Multi Level Marketing (MLM)?

Multi-level marketing, known as MLM is when you earn a commission from products you sell yourself, either through direct selling or affiliate links, and on the products people you recruit sell, and the people they recruit sell etc down to a certain number of levels. For example, if you sign up to sell CTFO CBD products through this link, you will  earn the full commission on your sales, but I will earn a smaller percentage as well.

Guide to Starting a Free Online CBD Business

Below, I will give you a step by step guide to setting up your free MLM CBD business with CTFO. You can read why I chose CTFO in my post of the same name, but in short; all the other CBD MLM companies I looked at charge a sign up fee and/or you have to order a certain amount of their products on monthly auto ship to stay in the program. CTFO is the only one that allows you to sign up and keep running for free.

5. Sign up for Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
1. Set up a Facebook page
2. Set up a Twitter profile
3. Set up an Instagram Profile
6. Sign up for https://ifttt.com/
7. Connect IFTTT to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
1. Configure auto posting from Instagram to Facebook and Twitter
2. Configure RSS to Facebook and Twitter
8. Join Facebook Groups

Detailed Step by Step Guide

1. Choose a Username
   Your username will form part of your website URL. You will get https://USERNAME.myctfo.com/ and https://USERNAME.myctfo.com/opportunity for free. For consistency, you should also use your username as your social media handles. Ideally, it should be:
   - Short
   - Memorable
   - CBD related
   - Not country specific
   
   I made a mistake with the last one. I chose HempUK. It seemed like a good idea at the time, as I'm from the UK, but you're excluding a large proportion of the world, if you only aim at one country.

2. Check your username at knowem.com
   Knowem lets you check several social media sites at once to see if your username is available. At the very least, you want it to be available on Facebook (as a page), Instagram and Twitter. If it isn't, try to come up with another one that is.
   
   
3. Check your username is available as a domain at Go Daddy or similar
   Although you have to pay for a domain name, and this guide is about setting up a free CBD business, it is worth checking what is available, in case you decide to invest in one later. Ideally, you want your username.com to be available, but you my need to get creative. For example, I wanted HempCBD.com, but it as not available. HempCBD.business was available though, so I registered that and used @HempCBDbusiness as my social media handle.
   
   
4. Sign up at for free at http://sell.hempcbd.business
   This is the most important step because it is the one that gets you your free CBD business and website, but I didn't put it first because it makes sense to choose your username first.
   
   
5. Sign up for Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
   1. Set up a Facebook page
   2. Set up a Twitter profile
   3. Set up an Instagram Profile
      
   Setting up the page and profiles should be fairly straight forward, but you may struggle to get followers at first. Read my post called 'Free Social Media Followers to Get You Started' if you need help with this.
   
   
6. Sign up for https://ifttt.com/

7. Connect IFTTT to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter

    This is the second most important step, after signing up. Having a free CBD selling website is great, but no-one is going to buy anything, if they can't find it. You need to tell everyone you know about it and share it on your social media sites.
    
    Share CBD news and information on your social media sites as well. If you only ever share posts about your CBD shop or business opportunity, no-one is going to follow you and you may even get your profile reported/banned for spamming. You need to give back to the community as well, by being a source of useful content.
