How to Source CBD Images for Your Social Media

Why are Images Needed for Social Media?

If you are promoting your CBD business on social media, you need images. Instagram require an image or video on every post, Twitter say that Tweets with images receive more engagement and Facebook posts with photos also receive more engagement. However, use the wrong images and you could be in breach of copyright.

Where to get Copyright-Free Images

If your business is powered by CTFO, you can join the CTFO CBD GRAPHICS group. If you joined CTFO below me, you can also join the CTFO CBD Hemp Legacy Team group. Both these groups regularly post graphics that can be shared. However, if you are not part of CTFO, or you don't want to post the same graphics as everyone else, you will need to source your own, elsewhere.

Do not use Google Images. A lot of people make the mistake of searching for images on Google and posting them. Most of the images on Google Images are copyrighted, so posting them is illegal.

The best source of free copyright-free images that I have found is Pixabay. "Pixabay is a vibrant community of creatives, sharing copyright free images and videos. All contents are released under the Pixabay License, which makes them safe to use without asking for permission or giving credit to the artist - even for commercial purposes."

If you want to crop or overlay text and you don't have photo editing software, you can use PhotoShop Express on mobile and Pixlr X in a browser on a desktop.
