Free Social Media Followers to Get You Started

Once you have set up your new social media profiles, to promote your CBD business, you need to get followers. The best way to get followers is through sharing useful content and building a following based on the value of your profile. However that takes time and people can be reluctant to follow profiles that have little or no followers, so you might want to boost your following at first, with "free followers".

Warning: There is no such thing as free followers

All sites that offer "free followers" want something in return. Any that say they don't are probably scam sites and should be avoided. That being said, you don't always have to pay cash for your followers. The sites I am going to direct you to give you followers in return for action, for example following other people.

Warning: Avoid Robots

There are websites that offer 1000s followers. Stay away! They are likely to be fake profiles. Being followed by a lot of fake profiles can make your profile seem fake and get you banned.

The sites below offer real human followers, as far as I can tell.

Twitter Followers

TraffUp offers Twitter followers, likes and retweets in return for completing minor tasks, including visiting websites for 20 seconds, following people on Twitter, liking tweets and retweeting.

You earn points (usually 40-50) for completing each task. You can then spend those points on Twitter followers, likes and retweets. You specify your profile for followers and the tweets you want liked or retweeted, as well as how many points you are willing to 'pay' for each (minimum 50).

For example, you can earn 250 points by visiting 5 websites. You can then buy 5 Twitter followers at 50 points each.

Instagram Followers

Mr Insta offers 25 followers in return for following 10 profiles. You can use the site once every 12 hours. The followers usually arrive within minutes.

Facebook Page Likes

I have not been able to find a legitimate website that offers real Facebook page likes. I've found a few that appear legitimate, but in the final step you need to take part in several offers, most of which involve entering your credit card details in to a website.

Final Warning

The followers you will get from these sites are only following you in return for getting followers themselves. They are not interested in you or your product and you are never going to be able to sell to or recruit them.

They are useful for getting started and making your profile look more real because it has genuine followers, but that's it. Don't make them part of your long term social media strategy. Just use them to help you get started.

How to Source CBD Images for Your Social Media

Why are Images Needed for Social Media?

If you are promoting your CBD business on social media, you need images. Instagram require an image or video on every post, Twitter say that Tweets with images receive more engagement and Facebook posts with photos also receive more engagement. However, use the wrong images and you could be in breach of copyright.

Where to get Copyright-Free Images

If your business is powered by CTFO, you can join the CTFO CBD GRAPHICS group. If you joined CTFO below me, you can also join the CTFO CBD Hemp Legacy Team group. Both these groups regularly post graphics that can be shared. However, if you are not part of CTFO, or you don't want to post the same graphics as everyone else, you will need to source your own, elsewhere.

Do not use Google Images. A lot of people make the mistake of searching for images on Google and posting them. Most of the images on Google Images are copyrighted, so posting them is illegal.

The best source of free copyright-free images that I have found is Pixabay. "Pixabay is a vibrant community of creatives, sharing copyright free images and videos. All contents are released under the Pixabay License, which makes them safe to use without asking for permission or giving credit to the artist - even for commercial purposes."

If you want to crop or overlay text and you don't have photo editing software, you can use PhotoShop Express on mobile and Pixlr X in a browser on a desktop.

Using CBD to Overcome Flying Anxiety

This is a follow up to My First Experience Flying with CBD. At the end of that post, I said "Next week, I have to do a short haul flight (2 hours), so I am going to take CBD oil and attempt to fly without drinking alcohol for the first time in years... I will blog about it when I get back, so watch this space." Although I made notes at the time, I didn't get around to doing the post, so, a bit late, but here it is...

I took my standard (at the time) 10mg of CTFO Full Spectrum CBD Oil Drops 500mg in the morning. I was taking it every morning and night, regardless of symptoms, at the time. I took an extra 5mg at lunch time because I knew I would be flying.

I was very stressed out before taxi even arrived. This was more to do with work than flying though.

I took an hibiscus CBD drink with me to drink on the way. It contained 5mg CBD. I’d calmed down about 20 minutes and half a bottle into the journey, but that may have been being away from the office, the motion of the car, the sound of the rain etc. I did almost fall asleep in the car though, which is unlike me.

In the lounge, I was calm and didn’t feel the need to drink alcohol to face the flight. It did feel like a bit of a waste not drinking, given how much I’m paying for Priority Pass, but I did say I’d do it and I wanted to see if I could.

My ankle did start to hurt in the lounge, but I put the pain freeze cream on it, instead of taking more oral CBD, as I’d already taken 20 mg; 10mg of CTFO Full Spectrum CBD Oil Drops 500mg in the morning, 5mg at lunch and 5mg in the drink in the taxi. The cream worked and the pain went away.

On the plane, there was turbulence the whole way. The seat belt sign was only turned off for about 10 minutes in the middle of the 2 hour flight.

I'm Back

So you may have noticed that I haven't written a proper post lately. There's been a few automated news posts, but nothing written by me for a while. I  haven't given up on CBD, I've just been too busy to blog...

Between travelling for work and travelling for fun, I haven't been around much. Between the beginning of September and the end of November, I only spent about 3 weeks at home.

Since my last post, I have flown sober several times, tried several CBD products, temporarily quit CBD because I was in a country where it was only legal on prescription, and done lot's of other non-CBD related stuff.

Reviews and posts abotu the CBD related stuff will follow.

One of my many 2020 goals is to focus of my CBD Business and blog when I can, even if it is in a hotel bar, while waiting to go to the airport for my delayed flight (like now ;-)).
